Today, I visited #AlmaCenter, the Research and Education Center in Tefen, #NorthIsrael.

The Alma Center is a non-profit, bipartisan organization dedicated to providing in-depth geopolitical knowledge about the Middle East to English speakers. It offers field briefings at Israel’s northern border with Lebanon and Syria, as well as global lectures and workshops based on daily research. The team, residing in Israel’s northern border communities, offers a unique perspective on the conflict's impact on life and the IDF’s security challenges. The center is funded by global philanthropists.
ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Lieutenant Colonel (Res.) Sarit Zehavi, founder and president of Alma, focuses on Israel’s security challenges on its northern border. She has briefed numerous groups, including US politicians and journalists, and authors papers on Lebanon, Syria, and Israel’s security issues. With 15 years in the IDF specializing in military intelligence, an M.A. in Middle East Studies, and membership in Forum Devora, Sarit was named one of the Top 50 Most Influential Jews of 2021 by the Jerusalem Post. She resides in the Western Galilee.
I had the chance to participate in a "Security Crisis Simulation," where attendees gained practical knowledge and insight into the complexity of decision-making in this region. #momentfromisrael
